In recognition of the laudable contributions made by Govt. Mohindtra College, Patiala in the field of education, the Ministry of Communications, Govt. of India, issued a Postage Stamp. H.E. Sh. S. S. Ray, Governor of Punjab, was the Chief Guest. His wife, Smt. Maya Ray, also graced the occasion. The Chief Guest honoured Dr. Partap Singh, an old Mohindrian present on the occasion, by getting the Commemorative Postal Stamp released by him, instead of releasing it himself.
The Chief Guest released the Souvenir, published by the OSA, on the occasion.
