Musical Evening Organised: 13th August, 1991
The OSA, in collaboration with the Department of Cultural affairs, Punjab, organized a “Musical Evening” at the newly built Open Air Theatre, which was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Sh. S. K. Sinha, IAS, Commissioner, Patiala division. Sh. N.S. Rattan, IAS, Secretary, Cultural Affairs, Punjab, Sh. S. K. Ahluwalia, PCS, Director, Cultural affairs, Punjab, both alumni of the College, and Sh. S. K. Karkara, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Patiala were the Guests of Honour.

Harpal Tiwana’s Plays Staged: 21st January, 1990
The OSA organized a cultural Meet in the College at which Harpal Tiwana’s Plays “MELA MUNDE KURIAN DA’ and “SADA BUGHDHU BOLE” were staged. Sh. G. S. Sidhu, IRS, Commissioner, Income Tax, Patiala Range, an alumnus, was the Chief Guest. Sh. B. L. Chhibber, IRS, Commissioner, Income Tax (Appeals) and Dr. Bhagat Singh, Ex. Vice-Chancellor, graced this largely attended function.

Seminar on” Punjabi Youth-Challenges and Choices”: 9th June, 1990
The OSA organized a Seminar on” Punjabi Youth-Challenges and Choices” in the College Sabha Bhawan. Dr. S. S. Johl, Chairman, Agricultural Costs and Prices Commission, Govt. of India, inaugurated the Seminar. Lt. General (Retd.) Sh. S. S. Brar, Chairman, PPSC presided.

Kavi Drawar Dedicated to Tricentenary of the Khalsa: 15th April,1999
The OSA in collaboration with the NZCC, Patiala organized a “Kavi Drawar Dedicated to Tercentenary of the Khalsa on 15th April, 1999. Sh. B. S. Rattan, IRS, Additional Commissioner of Income Tax, was the Chief Guest. Renowned Poets like Sh. G. D. Singh, IRS, D.I.G. Delhi, Sh. B. S. Rattan, Prof. Amarjit Singh Sidhu, Mrs. Kamal Sandhu (Australia), Mr. Baldev Singh Cheema, Mr. Sushil Dosanj, Mr. Surjit Judge, Mr Sadhu Singh and Prof Anup Virk regaled the audience with their poems.

Sham-e-Ghazal: 30th March, 2000
The OSA organized “Sham-e-Ghazal” in the College Sabha Bhawan on the occasion of the 125th Foundation Day of the College. Sh J. S. Bir, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Patiala, was the Chief Guest. Padam Shree Dr. Saradr Anjum presided over. More than a dozen Poets participated in the programme.

Symposium on Problems and Prospectus of the Punjabi Youth: 2nd June, 2001
The OSA organized a “Symposium on Problems and Prospectus of the Punjabi Youth”. Sh. Tejinderpal Singh Sandhu, and Chairman, PSSSB, an alumnus, was the Chief Guest. Sh. Surjit Singh Rakhra, Syndic, Punjabi University, Patiala, presided. Principal V. S. Soni extended a hearty welcome to all the Guests. Dr. R. S. Ghuman, Prof. S. C. Sharma, Dr. N. K. Dogra, Prof. B. S. Pannu, Prof. (Mrs.) Indu Dogra, and Dr. Sangeeta Handa participated in the discussion.

Jashn-e-Mohindra: 31st March, 2004
The OSA organized “Jashn-e-Mohindra” on 31st March, 2004. Sh. S. S. Rai, IPS, SSP, Patiala, was the Chief-Guest. Mr. Shiv Dullar Singh Dhillon, ADC, Patiala, an alumnus, was the Guest of Honour. Fifteen Poets, including Sardar Anjum, recited their poems till late hours of the evening.

The OSA in collaboration with the Rotary Club, Patiala, organised a “Seminar on Youth Power” on 28th September, 2005. Sh. Jagjit Puri, I. A. S., an alumnus, was the Chief Guest.

Inter-College Painting Competition
The OSA in collaboration with the Fine Arts Society of the College organized a Panting Competition in the College. The Chief-Guest Maharani Preneet Kaur gave way prizes to the winners.

Release of Surjit Judge's book "Sadak Ton Garage Tak":
The OSA in collaboration with the College organized a function to mark the release of Surjit Judge’s book “Sadak Ton Garage Tak”. Prof. Kirpal Singh Kasel presided and Prof. Anup Singh Virk compeered the Programme. Prof. M. S. Salh proposed a vote of thanks.

He recited his poems. Sh. Harpal Tiwana and Ms. Neena Tiwana graced the occasion. Prof. M.S. Salh presented a Memento to the Guest Poet on behalf of the OSA.

The OSA in collaboration with Punjab Sahit Academy organized Roo-Broo with Sh. N.S.Rattan, IAS and an alumnus. Dr. Dalip Kaur Tiwana, also an alumnus, President of the Academy Presided and Dr. Satish Verma, another alumnus, compeered the programme.

Inter College Music Competition Organised:
The OSA, in collaboration with Youth Club of Mohindra College, organized an Inter College Music Competition. A Running Trophy on behalf of the OSA was donated to the College Principal by Sh. Ram Lal Kad and Prof. M.S. Salh, President and Secretary respectively of the Association. Mrs. Surinder Kapila Principal, Govt. College of Physical Education was the Chief Guest.

Symposium on Heath Care and Medical Camp:
The OSA organized a Symposiyum on Health Care and Medical Camp. Dr. Baljit Singh Principal, Medical College, Patiala (Old Mohindrian) inaugurated the Camp. Dr. Manmohan Singh Cardiologist Dr. V.K. Chopra (Medicine), Dr. A.S. Sekhon & Dr. B.S. Babbar (all old Mohindrians) participated in the symposium on Health Care. Dr. S.K. Sarad, Principal of the College welcomed the Chief Guest and other guests and participants. 104 persons were examined.

Inter-College Essay Writing competition Held:
The OSA, in collaboration with the College, organized an Inter-College Essay Writing Competition on the topic- The role of Teacher in the New Millennium. 56 students participated. Principal, Sarwan Singh Chohan and Prof. M.S. Salh and Prof. S.C. Sharma addressed the participants. Cash prizes Rs. 500/-, Rs. 400/-, Rs. 300/-, Rs. 200/- and consolation prizes of Rs. 100/- each were awarded to the participants. Dr. M.P. Kapoor, Director, Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology gave away the prizes.

Lecture on The Role of Teachers in 21st Century:
A Lecture on Role of Teachers in the New Millennium by Dr. M. P. Kapoor, Director, TIET, Patiala, was organized by the OSA in collaboration with the college faculty. Dr. Ranbir Singh, Former Registrar, Punjabi University, Patiala presided. Dr. Vidwan Singh Soni, Principal, presented mementoes to the Chief Guest and other Guests.

Lecture-cum-Demonstration on Yoga & Holistic Health:
The OSA organized Lecture by Ms. Patricia Schilt of International Himalayan Institute, Pennsylvania, USA alias Preeta Brahamcharini. She spoke on attaining harmony of body, mind & spirit through the Indian System of Yoga- Pranayam meditation and positive thinking in raising an individual to a state of blissful consciousness.

Golden Jubilee of Post-Graduate Teaching of Punjabi:
Golden Jubilee of Post-Graduate Teaching of Punjabi in Mohindra College was held on 28th March 2001 with the co-operation of PG Dept. of Punjabi of Mohindra College. Prof. Pritam Singh pioneer Head of Dept. of Punjabi of the College delivered the keynote address while Dr. M.L. Hasija, Director, Languages, Punjab presided over the function. The OSA honoured distinguished old Mohindrians on the occasion: First batch students- Dr. Joginder Singh, Dr. Gurcharan Singh, Dr. Inderjit Kaur Sandhu and Justice Mohinder Singh Joshi. Eminent scholars: Dr. Gurbhagat Singh, Prof. Harinder Mehboob, Prof. Kulwant Singh Grewal and Neena Tiwana. Teachers who served the Punjabi Deptt. of Mohindra College Prof. Pritam Singh, Dr. Gurcharan Singh, Dr. Parminder Singh. Dr. Dalip Kaur Tiwana, Prof. Kirpal Singh Kasel, Prof. Umrao Singh, Prof. S.S. Seminar on New Dimensions of Education: 24-12-2005
The OSA in collaboration with the College organized a Seminar on “New Dimensions of Education” on 24-12-2005. Sh. Surinder Singla, Finance Minister of Punjab and an alumnus, was the Chief Guest and Dr. Bhagat Singh, Former VC, Punjabi University, Patiala presided. More than half a dozen scholars participated in the seminar. Principal B.K. Kapur, while participating in the seminar, announced the donation of Rs. One Lac for instituting scholarships for the students.

Chandigarh Chapter of OSA: 19th May, 2007
As per plan of Programmes of the OSA, Chandigarh Chapter of the OSA, Govt. Mohindra College, Patiala, was inaugurated on 19th May, 2007 at a Function held at Press Club, Sector-27, Chandigarh. More than 100 old students and teachers of Mohindra College participated in the function. The Chapter was inaugurated by an old Mohindrian Sh. Jagjit Puri, IAS, and Secretary to Govt. of Punjab, Dept. of public Relations & Medical Education. Justice (Retd.) M. R. Agnihotri, Former Judge, Pb. & Hry. High Court was unanimously elected as its President. Prof. Gian Chand Sharma was elected as Secretary.

MUSHAIRA: 29th Sept., 2007
The OSa in collaboration with Rotary Club, Patiala-Mid Town, organized a MUSHAIRA on 29th Sept., 2007 at Rotary Bhawan, SST Nagr, Patiala to celebrate the Birth Centenary of Shaheed Bhagat Singh. Sh. Izhar Alam, IPS, DGP, Prisons, Punjab, was the Chief Guest. Sh G. S. Grewal, D.C. Patiala represented Sh S. K. Ahluwalia, IAS, Commissioner, Patiala Division, as Guest of Honour.Padam Bhushan Sradar Anjum, an alumnus and a renowned Poet presided over the Function. More than 40 poets participated in the Mushaira.

The OSA organized First Faculty Meet of the former and present faculty members of Mohindra College, Patiala. 21 former octogenarian teachers were honoured for their life time achievements and contributions to the Society in Education and Social work.

Prof. Joginder Kaushal’s “Rainbow – A Trilingual Poetry Book” Release: 22nd July, 2011
H.H. Governor of Punjab, Sh. Shivraj Patil was the Chief Guest at the Book release Function held on 22nd July, 2011 zt Press Club, Chandigarh. The function was attended by many high dignitaries and office-bearers & members of the OSA.
